Our Recruitment Process
Step 01 – Meet
wattsnext will meet with you to gain complete clarity of what is required in the role – this will be used as a base for the sourcing strategy. We will go over the role description for the new employee including salary, role requirements, expectations, ideal candidate and cultural fit requirements.
Step 02 – Sourcing Strategy
wattsnext will write a targeted ad copy to be posted as per the agreed attraction strategy which includes online boards, industry sites as well using a detailed social media strategy., ideal candidate and cultural fit requirements.
Step 03 – Shortlisting Applicants
wattsnext will review all applications and create an initial shortlist for phone screening.
Step 04 – Telephone Screening
After wattsnext compiles an initial shortlist we will conduct the telephone screen process to establish a short list of suitable candidates for 1st interview stage. The telephone screen consists of asking targeted questions to ascertain the applicant’s suitability for an interview.
Step 05 – Recruitment Matrix
wattsnext will create a recruitment matrix that provides a brief overview and rating of the best candidates. This allows business owners to efficiently review and compare candidates.
Step 06 – First Interview
wattsnext will conduct a 1st interview to assess suitability for 2nd interview and provide you with a candidate report of all candidates recommended for 2nd interview. This can be conducted either face to face or via zoom.
Step 07 – Second Interview
wattsnext will arrange a second interview for the top candidate with the hiring manager. Depending on the needs of the business, wattsnext can either sit in on the meeting with the hiring manager, or provide guidance to the manager before the meeting.
Step 08 – Reverence Checks
This plays an important part of the process especially when it comes to candidates’ employment history.wattsnext are experts in conducting effective reference checks and will conduct a non-bias reference that is then provided to you to support the on boarding and training process.
Step 09 – DISC Profile
wattsnext will coordinate Extended DISC Behavioural Profiling for the top candidate to get an understanding of their communication style, key stressors and key motivators.
Step 10 – Offer
wattsnext will make the initial offer of employment over the phone and manage any counter offers or negotiations (if required) followed by presentation of an offer letter by <Company Name> formally offering the candidate the position.
Step 11 – Advise Candidates
wattsnext will send unsuccessful letters to those candidates that were not selected for interview. Those selected for interview however unsuccessful will receive notification via telephone in order to uphold the positive reputation of the company while thanking candidates for their time throughout the process and providing useful feedback.
